Do I have to pay to play Freecell?
No, all online Freecell games on our website are completely free to play. Our visitors will never have to pay for a game. Although some people think solitaire falls into the casino games category like poker or blackjack, this is incorrect. Our games are designed for one player and there is no money to be made.
I don't understand how to play Freecell
If you're new to the game, don't worry. We have an extensive page with game rules to help you get started. You can also find an easy-to-solve puzzle on the game numbers page, which we recommend starting with before moving on to more challenging ones. With the help of our game rules, you'll quickly get the hang of it.
Do the games work on my tablet?
Absolutely! All of our games are developed using HTML5, making it possible to play them on any mobile device, as well as on your laptop or PC. If you experience any issues while playing our games on your device, please let us know and we will adjust the software.
I am not getting the "out of moves" message...
Note that while playing Freecell Solitaire, the game typically alerts you when you cannot move any more cards, but there are instances where you may not receive a message. For example, if two open cards of the same color can accommodate a card of another color that is one point lower, you can keep playing without receiving a message. In such cases, you can use the undo button to try different moves.
In the above example, there are only 2 moves left. The 2 of hearts can be played to either the 3 of clubs in column 5 or the 3 of spades in column 7. You can keep playing the 2 to one of the threes infinitely without receiving an "out of moves" message.
Can I download your games?
Our Freecell games are online-only, so you need an internet connection to access them. Fortunately, Wi-Fi is widely available.
How do you handle visitor privacy?
On FreecellOnline.com, it is not possible to create a user account, which means that no personal information is required to play our games. Players remain anonymous, and we have no way of identifying them. The only information we receive is the data that is sent when a visitor contacts our helpdesk via email. This information is not stored and is transmitted over a secure SSL connection. Additionally, all emails are deleted after they have been processed. We do keep statistics of our visitors, but we anonymize their IP addresses by not storing the last octet of each IP address. This prevents users from being identified based on their IP addresses.
Can all games be solved?
Only a small number of Freecell games cannot be solved. Out of the first million numbers, only eight were never solved. With 10 million games, it's safe to assume around 80 cannot be solved, making the chance of getting a solvable deal 99.9992%!
A Freecell game won't start. What should I do?
